When to use this

  • You’re tired of typing the same title and participants for a meeting that repeats every week.
  • You want a certain meeting to always be organized with the same custom document template.
  • You want a note to share itself to Slack the moment the meeting ends.
Set this up once on a folder, and it applies automatically to every new note you create there. You can configure it on any folder you created or have editor access to.

Set it up

Next to the folder, open [⋯][Folder Settings], then use the Automation tab.
  • Note title: The default title for new notes created in this folder.
  • Participants: The participants added automatically when a note is created.
  • Custom Document: The templates generated automatically when recording ends. Select as many as you like. To learn how to build one, see Templates.
  • Auto Share Settings (Optional): Connect a Slack channel that receives the note automatically after recording ends. For details, see Sharing Automation.
It applies in two stages. The title and participants fill in when you create a note in the folder, and once recording ends, custom document generation and auto-sharing run in turn.
