Can I download the audio file I recorded?

It depends on where you’re using Tiro.
  • Web: Downloading audio files isn’t supported.
  • Desktop app (Windows and Mac): Yes. Before you record, turn on the [Local audio storage] toggle under [Settings][Preferences]. Only notes you record after turning it on can be downloaded. Notes that have a saved file show a [Download Audio File] button at the top. For details, see Save audio locally.
  • Mobile app: Long-press a note to use the [Download Audio] menu, or export from a note’s screen with [⋯][Share Audio]. For details, see Manage audio files.
For security, recordings are stored on your device rather than on the server. So you can only download from the device that made the recording, and deleting the app may delete your recordings along with it. In-app browsers in apps like KakaoTalk or Instagram may not handle Google and Microsoft social login correctly. Long-press the link or use the share menu to choose Open in your default browser (Chrome, Safari, and so on).

Can I use Tiro in China?

Yes, you can. That said, some connections such as Google login may be blocked on Chinese networks, so we recommend using a VPN. On Android, push notifications (FCM) may not work.

Is there an accessibility support program?

Yes. We run a discount program for people who need accessibility support, including for hearing. Apply through the application form and we’ll get back to you.
