What you can do with Ask Tiro

Ask Tiro is an AI chat that answers from your own notes. You can scope a question two ways.
  • Ask this note: Get answers based on the note you have open. Try questions like “What were the main decisions?” or “List the action items.”
  • Ask all notes: Search across every note in your workspace. This lets you ask across a time range, like “Summarize my meetings from the last two weeks” or “List the action items I need to do this week.”
Type @ in the input box to reference a specific note or folder. Answers include source numbers, and clicking a number jumps straight to the cited paragraph in the source note and highlights it.

How to open Ask Tiro

  • Web and desktop app: Click the Ask Tiro panel button in the top right of the note list to open the chat panel on the right. Open it inside a folder and that folder becomes the reference automatically. On a note detail screen, you can ask about that note right from the right sidebar. In the desktop app, you can also open it with the alt+a shortcut.
  • Mobile app: Ask about a note from the [Ask Tiro] tab on the note screen. You can ask even while recording is in progress.
Asking across all notes and @references are available in the web and desktop app. The mobile app supports questions scoped to a single note.

How to ask

If it’s your first time, start with the suggested questions on the empty screen.
  • About one note: “Tell me the main points” · “List the action items” · “Tell me the key decisions” · “Summarize the gist in one line”
  • About all notes: “Summarize my meetings from the last two weeks” · “What were the most mentioned keywords in the last three weeks?” · “List the action items I need to do this week” · “Summarize the key decisions from my recent notes”
Conversations are saved as sessions, so you can continue an earlier chat or start a new one, and you can grab any answer with the copy button. You can also stop an answer while it’s being generated.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a usage limit?

Paid plans get unlimited AI chat based on your note records. You also get full access during the free trial.

How do I check whether an answer is correct?

Click the source number attached to the answer. It jumps you straight to the cited paragraph in the source note, where you can check the original text. Ask Tiro searches your records to answer, so it won’t make up things that aren’t in your notes.

Can I ask questions while recording?

Yes. You can open Ask Tiro and ask questions even while recording is in progress.

I just want to find a specific word inside a note quickly.

Sometimes a keyword search beats AI chat. On web and desktop, open a note and press cmd+F (ctrl+F on Windows) to search within the note.

How does this connect to the wiki?

In a workspace where the wiki is active, Ask Tiro draws on the wiki’s people, topics, and decisions alongside your notes to answer more precisely. For details, see Wiki.
